DESCRIPTION:We invite you to attend our School Information Morning on Saturday\, 11 June.\nAt this session\, you will get the chance to visit our school and discover our primary learning environments (ages 3 to 12) as well as our secondary learning environments (ages 12-15) and our International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (ages 16-18). \nVisiting our school is the best way to get a feel for our community and culture\, as well as find out more about the Montessori philosophy. \nPrimary Session\n9:00am to 10:00am \nSecondary Session\n10:00am to 11:00am \nInternational Baccalaureate Session\n11:00am to 12:00pm – Information Session & Orientation \nThis session will be of particular interest to new families considering enroling their children in the International Baccalaureate program or for our existing families wanting to know more about the International Baccalaureate. \nThe orientation part of the session will be for students currently in Year 10 who will progress onto the first year of the International Baccalaureate next year. \nRSVP\nIf you are keen to attend\, please register your interest by COB on Wednesday\, 8 June.\nYou can either email via the link below or phone us on (08) 9409 9151. \nIn order to have an effective experience\, the primary session is only open to adults; however\, for the secondary sessions (12-18)\, children want to be involved in decision-making\, especially when it comes to their education\, so we hope your children will tag along so that they can experience our school for themselves. \nWe look forward to seeing you! \nRSVP

SUMMARY:Annual General Meeting - 2021
DESCRIPTION:We welcome parents\, staff and other members of our association to attend our Annual General Meeting (AGM).\nThe AGM is a mandatory meeting held by every Association where the actions and achievements of the past year (2021) are presented\, with the reports from the Chair\, Treasurer\, sub-committee conveners\, and Principal. It is also the occasion to present the strategic goals for the school in the current year and beyond. \nThere are three positions open on the Board: Angela Chew and Jarrod Burns\, have reached the end of their term on the Board\, and Melinda Shreeve will terminate her Secretary position. Directors reaching the end of their term may choose to re-nominate. \nAnyone else wishing to nominate for the Board must complete the attached Nomination Form and return to the School via email before 5pm Wednesday\, 15 June 2022. Board Directors duties are detailed on the Nomination Form. \nWhile the AGM will officially begin at 7:30pm\, we will have nibbles from 7:00pm. \nThe Board is actively looking for individuals with the following skills:\n\nHuman resources experience;\nGrant writing experience; or\nCorporate experience\, or strategy development experience.\n\nFor the role of Secretary:\n\nExcellent written communication skills;\nGood organisation skills; and\nAttention to detail.\n\nA transition plan is in place to help the new Secretary to settle in their duties. \nYou can access the Board Nomination Form here:\n\nBoard Nomination Form \n\nTreasurer\nAdditionally\, the Board is also looking for a new Treasurer. Note that the Treasurer is not elected by the members of the Association but appointed by the Board as the Treasurer should have accounting background and certain experiences in financials. The Treasurer supports the school Business Manager in vetting of financial process\, budgets and reports and oversees the financial management of the school. Time commitment is estimated ~7hrs/month. In particular\, the Treasurer: \n\nAttends the School Board meetings as per the meeting schedule (1x/month) where the Treasurer’s Report is presented and discussed.\nChairs the Finance Sub-Committee and prepares the meeting minutes (1x/month).\nProvides support to the School Business Manager\, as required.\nReviews the annual budget and provides recommendations to the Board.\nProvides an annual school fee analysis and recommendations of next year’s fees to the Board.\nPrepares financial modelling to help the Board make decisions regarding any big capital projects.\nUpdates the school’s 5-year forecast yearly according to the school strategic direction.\nPresents the Annual Treasurer’s Report to the School Community at the Board AGM.\nActs in the best interest of the Strategic direction of the school when conducting board business.\n\nA transition plan is in place to help the new Treasurer to settle in their duties.
