If you noticed Ashlea missing from school for part of Term 3, it was for a remarkable cause!

Ashlea participated in Variety WA’s 35th annual charity motoring event, the Variety Bash, where she drove the Bluey Car on an unforgettable adventure through the Kimberley to raise funds for children in need.

Variety WA runs three unique road trips each year—the Variety Bash, the 4WD Adventure, and the Creative Car Cruise. This year’s Bash saw 48 cars hit the road for a challenging yet fun journey, all in support of Variety WA’s mission to make a difference in the lives of children across Western Australia.

Incredibly, this year’s event raised an impressive $1,566,939.86, helping to continue Variety WA’s long-standing tradition of support. Over the past 35 years, the Variety Bash has raised more than $30 million, leaving a profound impact on thousands of children.

Ashlea, alongside other enthusiastic participants, played a crucial role in achieving these incredible results by driving the Bluey Car. This experience beautifully aligns with the Montessori philosophy of fostering independence and community spirit, teaching our students the importance of contributing to society and helping those in need.

On behalf of The Montessori School Kingsley, we extend our deepest gratitude to Ashlea, the organisers, and all those involved. Your participation in this year’s Bash embodies the spirit of compassion and determination to drive positive change for children in need. Thank you!

We’re excited to share photos from the event, showcasing the adventure and the joy of making a difference. Together, we are proud to support a brighter future for kids across Western Australia.
