IB Year 2 students went on an Ecology excursion to Lake Goolleal earlier this week to investigate the quality of the water by collecting identifying indicator species and measuring levels of nitrogen phosphate and water hardness.
The Mayfly nymph species was found to be in the water, this species is a great indicator for water quality.
We look forward to receiving an update next week when the students will return to the other side of the lake to compare their findings.
