The national benchmark literacy and numeracy (NAPLAN) testing will take place on the 9th to 11th of May 2017. That is, week 3 of Term 2.
As always, these will be presented to the children as ‘naturally’ as possible – as just another activity in their day. Children who fall in the government categories of Year 3, Year 5, Year 7 and Year 9 will be involved.
We do ask parents to co-operate with the school in helping children to be aware that testing, in itself, does not contribute to their development and that teachers are already aware of their level.
