Motivation and Choice will be the topic of this Discussion Night.
In a Montessori environment, children are not motivated by rewards, punishments, or competition. Instead, they are supported to develop intrinsic motivation – a natural desire to explore, learn, and grow.
This motivation is nurtured through meaningful choices. Children choose what work to do, how long to do it for, and who to work with – within carefully prepared environments that encourage responsibility and respect.
