We are delighted to welcome you to The Montessori School Kingsley.

We are Australia’s longest-running Montessori school with over 60 years in operation. Our school is nestled in natural bushland, overlooking the picturesque Lake Goollelal.

Our school philosophy is underpinned by pure Montessori principles, with the child being at the center of what we do. We currently cater to children aged 3 to 18, starting with pre-primary education until the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) and the International Baccalaureate Careers-related Programme (IBCP) for students in Year 11 and 12. Both qualifications are recognised globally and enable tertiary entry. Our school was the first Montessori school in the world to introduce the IBDP 30, years ago. We are now in the process of building a new facility that will provide multi-purpose spaces to satisfy the growing demand for our senior secondary Montessori/IB education.

Upon entering our school, you will notice our environment is calm and peaceful, which promotes nurturing, curiosity, creativity independence, and a lifelong love of learning. We have a wonderful school with dedicated and highly trained staff, supportive parents, and – above all – extraordinary students. Our school community is diverse with many families and staff coming from countries all over the world.

We are pleased to form a Co-Principal partnership as our school works to secure its next leader. Michael is an experienced educator in the secondary space, teaching across a range of subjects including Mathematics and Physics. He has led the Lower Secondary team as they have continued to develop our Montessori practice in the adolescent space. He was instrumental in adopting the Careers-related Programme for our school and is closely familiar with the International Baccalaureate. Kate has a long history with the school, first as a student herself, and then throughout different stages of her career. She is trained and experienced in the pre-primary and primary areas and provides a link between the heritage of our school’s culture and its future. Together, we have been part of the Leadership Team as Program Coordinators and are familiar with the day-to-day needs of the School. We are confident and proud to support the School and we welcome your collaboration and support.

Please do not hesitate to contact our school should you wish to undertake a Principal’s tour.

The invitation to visit is also extended to Montessori educators as well as aspirant Montessori educators.

Yours sincerely,

Kate Tottle & Michael Caldwell
